    August 25, 2025 :: Dr. Watkins was interviewed by Choice Magazine's podcast Beyond the Page.

    January 7, 2025 :: Dr. Watkins quoted in Forbes on changing narratives in mental health

    June 11, 2024:: Dr. Watkins receives the Pynn-Silvermann Lifetime Achievement Award from the Textbook and Academic Authors Association (TAA)

    May 21, 2024 :: Dr. Watkins co-leads R01 research grant from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute

    April 1, 2024 :: Congratulations to Dr. Watkins for being named the Letha A. Chadiha Collegiate Professor of Social Work at the University of Michigan School of Social Work.

    March 14, 2024 :: Congratulations to Dr. Watkins! Her book Secondary Data in Mixed Methods Research has won a 2024 Most Promising New Textbook Award from the Textbook & Academic Authors Association.

    October 4, 2023:: Dr. Watkins one of eleven faculty from the University of Michigan School of Social Work included in the 2024 list of the world’s top 2% of scientists. The annual list was compiled by Stanford faculty and the analytics company Elsevier.
